What are Custom GPTs?
Custom GPTs are specialised versions of ChatGPT that can be created by users to perform specific tasks.
These custom GPTs can be built without any coding skills and shared with others. They offer a personalised, efficient, and engaging experience that goes beyond the capabilities of the standard ChatGPT.
You can find them when you are logged in to ChatGPT, in the left menu:
Benefits of Custom GPTs
Tailored Assistance: Custom GPTs provide personalised AI assistance that caters to specific needs and preferences, offering more relevant and efficient support compared to the standard ChatGPT.
Time-Saving Automation: Custom GPTs can automate repetitive tasks and processes, freeing up time for more critical and creative work.
Improved Collaboration: Custom GPTs enable collaboration within teams and organisations by providing a centralised, AI-powered knowledge base and problem-solving tool.
Another way to think about GPT’s is they are a ready to go version of ChatGPT prepared for a specific task, with the right data etc of the prompts already set up.
Examples of Popular Custom GPTs
Deep Game: A custom GPT that lets users play through a generic, AI-generated story as a character, with AI generating new images, descriptions, and prompts for each step.
Data Analyst: A GPT that helps users display the contents of files or create data visualizations, such as pie charts, bar charts, and graphs, based on data files added to the chat.
The Negotiator: A GPT that helps users advocate for themselves and learn how to negotiate in a professional setting, including role-playing salary negotiations.
Sous Chef: A GPT that helps users cook by giving recipe suggestions based on pictures or descriptions of ingredients.
Math Mentor: A GPT that helps younger users and parents learn math based on descriptions or photos of a problem.
Here are some other popular GPT’s at time of writing:

So let’s try out a GPT to see how it works.
I’m going to choose the video summariser.
I’m going to ask it to summarise a video interview with and author I read a lot Youval Noah Harari:
Here’s my prompt:
That’s a great summary.
There are many more GPT’s to try out that can be every useful, give them a try and let me know ones you like!
