Using Descriptive Language

When creating prompts, it's helpful to think of yourself as an artist using words to paint, painting a tapestry of vivid descriptions to bring your vision to life.

The more detailed and evocative your prompt, the more impressive your final image will be.

Let's take a simple prompt for a travel vlog YouTube thumbnail as an example:

Create a thumbnail for a YouTube video about a travel vlog in Tokyo --ar 16:9

This basic prompt provides a starting point, but it lacks the depth and detail needed to truly capture our vision. By adding more descriptive language, we can guide the AI to create a more specific and captivating image.

A vibrant YouTube thumbnail featuring a bustling street in Tokyo with neon lights, traditional Japanese architecture, and a hint of cherry blossoms in the background. The foreground should feature a traveller with a backpack, looking excited and curious. The colour palette should be a blend of bright, bold colours with a focus on pink and blue hues. We can see in the bottom right image it hasn't got the text quite right!

However we can also see that by incorporating more descriptive language, we've provided the AI with a clearer roadmap to create an image that meets our vision. 

The added details, such as the neon lights, traditional Japanese architecture, and cherry blossoms, help to create a more immersive and engaging image. 

This provides a solid foundation for your YouTube thumbnail, which can then be further refined with additional design elements and edits.
